Coming from a junior college, I had a wide variety of majors I could have chose from. When I first began, I wanted to work for either the CIA or the FBI. As I continued down that road, I started finding new interest, and got lost on what I really wanted to do. There were tons of things such as, photography, acting, and working for television or being on T.V. My counselors decided that it would be best if I went into University studies, since I didn’t have a complete grasp on what I want to do. When it came time for me to leave my junior college and attend University, I had to make a choice on where I was going with my life. Photography has been something in my life that’s helped me get through some tough times, so naturally I wanted to go for that. Though I wanted to do photography as a major, My school doesn’t offer it as a degree. The closest thing to my degree was communications. Through the program I’ve learned more about myself and acquired a skillset that I can never lose. Originally I was a double emphasis, I was in Public Relations, and broadcast productions. I recently dropped the public relation side of my major because broadcast had more of what I was looking for. As I continue my journey, my favorite aspect is honing in on my skills as a photo editor, video editor, and creating images through photoshop. I hope to improve my versatility as a photographer, I feel like photography is a strong skill set that I have, but can always be improved.
